Song Finder (8/1/2008)
Have you ever wanted to find a specific song but did no know what album the song was on or what arist recorded the song?

Have you tried to find different versions of a classic, but searching for that one song seemed impossible?

STL is on a continuous journey to make ordering for your store and customers easier. The desire to assist our customers has led to our recent launch of the Song Finder search option on the STL Distribution website which allows you to locate songs by title and artist.

When you search for a specific song the Song Finder will return all albums containing that title. If you want to see what copies of the traditional hymn "Old Rugged Cross" STL Distribution carries, our new search will display all albums that carry the title. From this list you are able to compare different styles and make a more informed decision about your purchase. Alternatively, if you search for an artist the Song Finder will return all the albums and tracks (on mixed albums) by that artist. This allows you to exhaust all possible options to carry that one special song. Please take some time to try this new feature and feel free to contact us if you have any questions 1-877-323-6923.

Warehouse Cascading (7/14/2008)
Warehouse cascading allows you to use both our Tennessee and Nevada warehouse for your ordering. So if a product is not available at your default warehouse, warehouse cascading will automatically choose to ship the items from your non-default warehouse (if available). Please visit our warehouse cascading freight policy for more information on shipping.

To turn on warehouse cascading, you may either visit your account settings found in my account or turn it on directly from your shopping cart by choosing to ship from "Both warehouses".

Once warehouse cascading is turned on, you will see which items are shipping from which warehouse. You will also have the option to only ship items from one warehouse and keep the remain items in your shopping cart. You may want to keep items from shipping in order to build up your order to 15 items or $150 to receive free freight from that warehouse.

If you prefer to only have your order ship from one warehouse and back order the items not avaialble, you may turn off web cascading at any time by unchecking the box in your account settings.

Browse by Grade Level (1/2/2008)
We are pleased to announce the new browse by grade level section on the website. You can not only choose to view products by one grade level, but also a grade range. So if you're looking for products for middle school, you can do a search for books in the 6th to 8th grade level.

We've also improved our grade level data so it should be more accurate than before to help you find the exact products you need.

Keyword Bible Search (12/12/2007)
We've upgraded our Bible Search section to include the ability to search for keywords. The keyword search works similar to the "Search All (loose)" main search except it only searches for Bible products.

We've also added the ability to go back to your search options and remove or add new criteria without having to re-choose the options. After an initial Bible search, just click on

to go back to the Bible search and it will have all the options you previously chose.

Sort Shopping Cart (8/29/2007)
You can now sort the shopping cart by any of the 8 columns (Title, Author, Item #, Retail, Discount, Price Qty, and Total). To sort a column in your shopping cart, simply click on the column header link. It will sort it ascendingly (A-Z) first, but click on the header again to sort it descendingly (Z-A).

Dropshipments (8/16/2007)
We are proud to announce the ability to have your order dropshipped to any location you choose. To place a dropship order, simply add items to your cart as you normally would, but during the final step of you order, click on the new button "Drop Ship Order" (below) to reveal the dropshipment address form.

Shipping Methods (8/16/2007)
You also now have the ability to choose a shipping method to all regular orders as well as dropship orders. So if you or your customer needs their order in two days, you can now guarantee it will arrive by choosing the correct shipping method. Please note that any order shipping UPS Next Day must be placed before 1:00 EST to guarantee it will arrive the next day.

Sort by Grade Level (5/30/2007)
After many request from our homeschool customers, we've added the ability to sort each search result by grade level. Click on the "sort by" dropdown menu from any search result to start using the new sort options today.

Easy to Use Layout (launch)
We've redesigned the site from the ground up to give you a much more fluid experience while having all the necessary data you want right at your fingertips.

Over 3 Times the Information (launch)
The site now includes nearly 3 times the amount of data than it did before. Here is just a sample of some of the new data fields we are now able to provide you: Bible translations, release dates, grade levels, track listings and much much more. Along with the data, we also have an all new library of images that includes 3 separate sizes. (small, medium, and large)

New and Improved Search Functionality (launch)
Search more data in more places to find the products you are looking for

Smarter searches allows you to use multiple keywords to find products. By using the "Search All" option, you now can type in a title, author/arist, ISBN, UPC, EAN or even a vendor name and find the product you're looking for. The smart search also allows you to mix and match keywords. Say for example you wanted to find out if Amy Grant had a greatest hits album. You could type in "greatest hits grant" and the first result would in fact be her greatest hits. (view results)

Search filters allow you to narrow down your search by product group, category, format, grade/reading level, discount and retail price. Adding and removing filters is as easy as clicking them on and off.

The search filters can be found to the left of every search. Also, by clicking on the blue minus icon, you can easily hide certain filters and reveal them by clicking on the plus icon again.

Sort each search result by discount, retail, bestselling, title, author, vendor, release date, format, category, and warehouse inventory levels.

Related Products
On the right hand side of every product's detail page is a list of related products either by the same author/artist or on the same subject matter to help you find other great products that you may not be aware of.

Backorders (launch)
If we currently do not have the product in stock, you can now backorder the item and have it ship when it arrives. You now have full control over which items to backorder—even if your account is setup not to receive backorders. Simply add a check to the backorder check box and add the item to your cart to backorder an item.
