Africa Well Project (May 2007)

Hello!  Many of you know that each year STL/Appalachian hosts an annual Spring Invitational, however, this year it will be held in the fall. The Fall Invitational provides opportunity for retailers and the new STL Distribution North America to fellowship together and build solid relationships with each other.  The overriding theme of this year’s Fall Invitational is focused on raising funds for the Africa Well Project.  .

The goal of the Africa Well Project, which is sponsored by STL Distribution, is to drill wells in Kenya.  The first well will be drilled in the remote village of Ciangera which is about 3 hours south of Nairobi, Kenya.  Ciangera is a project with a Christian school and a church built using funds from the STL Trust.  Our goal is to drill a well near the project in order to draw more villagers to the area and provide the opportunity for them to be exposed to the Gospel message. 

We are providing US retailers with collection bins to raise funds that will go toward drilling this well.  The store that raises the most funds will have the opportunity to visit Ciangera in the future after the well is drilled.  We want to give everyone at STL the opportunity to participate as well.
